Stolberg is a picturesque town located in North Rhine-Westphalia in the west of Germany. It was founded in the early Middle Ages, the time of its greatest prosperity falls on the 16th century. A large part of the town’s historical architecture comes from this period – burgher houses erected from brick and the timber-framed walls, a wooden structure filled with stone or clay.
