Antarctic Penguins
Antarctic penguins (in other words Chinstrap penguins) are middle size birds from the family of penguins, inhabiting cold seas around the Antarctica, the South Shetland Islands, Bouvet Island, the South Orkney Islands, Peter I Island (sometimes they occur a bit further north from the circumpolar areas). Antarctic penguins have black coloring with a white stripe in the front of the body and at the bottom part of a head, similar to a mask (hence the alternative name of the species). Beaks of the Chinstrap penguins are short and lacking in feathers, tails long, narrow with stiff feathers (which makes swimming easier). The size of mature specimen reaches up to 76 cm.
