Hongkong is a special administrative region of the People's Republic of China. In 1841 this territory was annexed by the British. However, due to the signed agreement, in 1997 Hong Kong returned to China but for the next 50 year it will be enjoying a high level of autonomy. Despite the fact that Hong Kong belongs to China, it doesn't implement the rules of the socialist model of economy.
