Arab tea with dried dates
Tea is a very popular drink in Arab countries. A lot of sugar and fresh or dried mint are added to it, sometimes also aromatic spices, such as cardamom and cinnamon. Tea is brewed in a special teapot and poured to glasses made of transparent glass. The Arabs made a real ritual out of drinking coffee or tea. Preparing, serving and tasting tea require time and adequate setting. Despite the fact that the Arab tea is very sweet, it can be served accompanied by Moroccan dates.
