The Athabasca River flows through the Jasper National Park in Alberta, Canada. The river has its source in the Rocky Mountains and after draining into the Peace River it flows into Great Slave Lake. The Athabasca creates picturesque waterfalls. Athabasca Falls is one of them and it is considered the most beautiful in Canada. Tons of foamy water falling from the rocks cause a refreshing mist to rise, thanks to which tourists can often admire a rainbow against the background of the falls. The waterfall is located on the route of popular hiking trails. It is best to contemplate its beauty from one of the special viewing platforms.
