Beach in Darłówko (Poland)
Darłowo, as befits a tourist resort, is crowded with tourists. Due to a large number of tourists visiting the seaside towns, the Volunteer Water Rescue Organization organizes places stands for rescuers on the beach. The rescuers are supposed to take care of safety of tourists who spend their holidays by the sea. The rescuer can display a white flag, which means that swimming is allowed, or a red one – swimming forbidden. There are a few conditions that must occur in order to display the red flag: visibility limited to 50 meters, water temperature lower than 14 Celsius degrees, waves higher that 70cm, strong counter currents, wind speed over 5 Beaufort.
