The municipal beach in Split (Croatia)
Split is the second largest, after Zagreb, city in Croatia. It is located on a small peninsula at the Adriatic Sea in Dalmatia. Split is the important industrial centre, a big port as well as the important communication centre. Thanks to the long history and numerous monuments, the city is also popular among the tourists.
