Broth is a strong soup based on vegetable and poultry/beef infusion. Its ingredients are simmered in cold water so that all their flavors and aromas could be extracted. Broth is most often cooked from the mixture of root vegetables. The dish can be served with homemade noodles and sprinkled with parsley. Traditional broth remains clear, not condensed and poor in additional ingredients – for that reason the soup is usually served as a starter before the main course prepared from meat, potatoes, vegetables and sauce. Broth is the base of the Polish traditional cuisine, however, its varieties occur in many countries.
