Sydney is the largest city of Australia, but also an important commercial, financial and cultural center. It is located on the Pacific Ocean in the natural harbor called Port Jackson, which is spanned by the Sydney Harbour Bridge built in the 1930s. On New Year’s Day there is a great fireworks show and the famous Sydney Opera House is situated nearby. Sydney has a few districts, which are vibrant with life. There are the Central Business District with skyscrapers, Darling Harbour with many tourist attractions, shops, restaurants and parks. There are also elegant historic districts called Paddington and The Rocks. The panorama of the city may be admired from the 309-meter Sydney Tower.
