Block of flats' facade
Despite the fact that blocks of flats are extremely functional and their positive influence on space managing, there will always be people who will oppose to such "concrete constructions". The block of flats' concept was born during the modernism period in France. The main originator of it was Le Corbusier – a socialist, town-planner and architect, who wanted to provide poor residents of Paris with decent living conditions. His idea did not get large appreciation in France, but it proved to be very successful in the countries east of the iron curtain.
