Brno is a city located in the south-eastern Czech Republic, it is the largest city of Moravia and the capital of the South Moravian Region. In the 18th century Brno became increasingly important as an industrial center, due to the fact that great linen mills and factories of arms were built there. The development of the city was stopped during the two World Wars, but after 1945 the industry began to recover.
