Blue-and-yellow Macaw

Ararauna (Ara ararauna), belongs to the Psittacidae family. It is a large bird, its body can reach about 1m, with a wing-span reaching up to half a meter. In nature it lives in the forests of South America, it can be found from Panama to Southern Brazil. The ararauna spends most of the day in the treetops. These birds usually live in pairs, sometimes they occur in larger groups.
