Bratislava is the capital of Slovakia and the city situated on the river Danube, between Austria and Hungary. In the center of the city, on a green hill, there is a castle with four corner towers. Near the river there is St. Martin’s Cathedral with a characteristic 85-meter tower crowned with a spire. The panorama of Bratislava's old town can be admired from the original pylon of the Slovak National Uprising Bridge. The crown of the pylon resembles a flying saucer – there is a restaurant and observation deck. Since 1972 the steel bridge has spanned the Old Town and the district of Petržalka on the right bank of the river Danube.
