Bukchon Hanok is a traditional Korean village located in the north of Seoul. There are historic houses, so-called hanoks, small shops, pubs and a modest temple. The village of Bukchon Hanok is now a living museum and tourist attraction, although the historic one-storey houses are still inhabited by local people. There are hostels offering accommodation only in a few hanoks. The narrow streets and traditional buildings of the village contrast with the modern architecture that dominates the capital of Korea.
