Nuremberg is a charming city located in Bavaria. Completely destroyed during the Second World War, it was later rebuilt and is still considered an architectural gem of Middle Franconia. In the Old City, through which the Pegnitz River flows picturesquely, there is a Renaissance city hall, as well as several Gothic temples. Well-preserved municipal buildings deserve particular attention. Timber framing painted green and dark red nicely contrast with plastered, pastel elevations and stone underpinnings.
