Camellia is an ornamental plant in the family Theaceae. it can be grown in gardens provided the climate is mild or humid, however, in countries with lower temperatures it is rather a pot plant that requires special care. Currently there are about 300 species of camellias. Japanese camellia is the most popular variety. It is a small bush with beautiful white, pink or red flowers and dark green leathery leaves.
