Venice is a beautiful Italian city situated on 118 islands, intersected by a network of canals. Rio de la Verona, also known as Rio Mėnuo, is one of them. Gondolas and small private boats sail along narrow canals. From their decks tourists may admire buildings of the Old Town - the historic tenement houses, the windows of which are decorated with flowering geraniums, and charming passages with small columns. The banks of the canal are spanned by the nineteenth-century bridge called Ponte de la Verona. Just by the water there are also numerous cafes, restaurants and cozy pubs, where you can relax after a day of sightseeing in the city of lovers.
