Cathedral of Christ the Saviour (Moscow)

The Cathedral of Christ the Saviour is the tallest Church in Russia. It is situated in Moscow, not far from the Kremlin. The church has a long history. The construction was begun in 1817. It was completed in 1982. In 1931 the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour was destroyed by Soviets. Reconstruction of the church begun in 1994 and the completed cathedral was consecrated in 2000.
