Mosaic ornament is arranged with the use of small tiles, flat stones or pieces of plastic. It is usually done on flat surfaces, such as the bottom of the pool and courtyard floor. The origins of mosaic date back to ancient times. Decorative mosaic may be composed of glass, ceramic or stone flattened cubes of a small size. When decorating an apartment many people decide to use mosaic, which can cover not only floors or walls, but also decorate interior furnishings – mirrors, shower trays and tubs as well as countertops. Mosaic serves primarily a decorative function, it is durable and easy to maintain.
