Český Krumlov (Czech Republic)
A picturesque town of Český Krumlov is the pearl of the southern Czech Republic. The settlement is situated on a rock just above the meandering Vltava River. The thirteenth-century castle stands on the left bank of the river. The town preserves its old atmosphere thanks to the presence of well-maintained monuments: the Town Hall, old mill, Renaissance brewery, St. Vitus church, convent and the Jesuit College as well as the centuries-old burghers' houses. Due to concerts, festivals and a wide range of local attractions that take place here, Český Krumlov is frequently visited by tourists.
