Kapellbrücke (Switzerland)
The chapel bridge (Kapellbrücke) over the Reuss river in Lucerne (Switzerland) was built in 1333. It is 204 meters long, wooden, roofed and it goes obliquely over the river. Due to these features it has become the symbol of Lucerne. It is the oldest wooden bridge in Europe. It suffered a lot in a fire in 1993, however it was quickly rebuilt.
