Pedoulas is a village located in Nicosia, Cyprus. It lies at an altitude of 1,100 meters above sea level in Marathassa Valley. It is surrounded by pine forests and peaks of the Troodos mountain range. The village is dominated by a large, snow-white church of the Holy Cross with two towers and a magnificent dome in the Byzantine style. The construction of the temple was completed in 1935. The church of Michael the Archangel from 1474 is another monument of religious architecture as well as the landmark of Pedoulas. What is more, this picturesque village is also home to the Byzantine and Folkloric Museums.
