Breakfast cereals are one of the most popular products consumed in the morning as it is filling, nutritious and easy to prepare. They are made from cereal grains or flour. The healthiest are, of course, ordinary whole grain flakes, e.g. oat or spelt. Nevertheless, food manufacturers often tempt us with colorful balls or circles, which are made of grits or purified flour without many nutrients. What is more, a lot of sugar, dyes, aromas and raising agents are added and unfortunately they do not have a positive effect on our health. It is better to choose ordinary porridge than multi-colored sweet circles.
