Bruschetta is a traditional Italian snack that conquered the whole world. Initially, baked bread with some olive oil and garlic was its main ingredient. This simple snack, especially popular among olive growers, tastes best was fresh tomato and basil. Today, crispy round slices of bread are combined with any ingredients: smoked ham, salmon, cottage cheese and seasonal vegetables. The sweet variant of bruschetta – with white cheese and fruit – can replace cookies.
