Covered bridge in Innsbruck (Austria)
Innsbruck is the capital of Tyrol. Its name literally means "bridge on the Inn River". Indeed, it was thanks to the bridge spanning the banks of the river that the medieval city – located at the intersection of trade routes – was dynamically developing. Today, tourists are mostly attracted by the Weiherburgsteg pedestrian bridge with a characteristic wooden roof. Innsbruck boasts a beautiful castle, historic market, several dozen museums, the Bergisel ski jump and the Swarovski crystal factory.
