Covered Wagon

Four-wheel wagon, with a characteristic linen roofing in the shape of an arch, is indispensably associated with the Wild West. However, such wagons were also commonly used in Europe as early as in the 16th century. In America the covered wagons were used for everyday purposes since 18th century. From the middle of the 19th century the wagons were commonly used for traveling across the Great Plains towards the West.
