Electronic component
Electronic components are assembled on printed circuit boards made of insulating materials. A pattern of paths and soldering points are applied to the boards and the components are assembled with the use of through-hole or surface-mount technologies. Components, which are composed of passive and active elements of electronics, create an electronic system. Electronic systems are used in the production of computers, telephones, microwaves, watches and even toys. There are many enthusiasts whose hobby is to build their own electronic systems in the comfort of home.
