Borgholm is a small Swedish town located on Oland, the temperate island inhabited by many species of animals. This place is a tourist destination for a lot of Swedes. Borgholm retains old-fashioned charm thanks to its original architecture, small houses situated along the well-kept pedestrian area, restaurants, cafes and souvenir shops. In Borgholm there is also the Himmelsberga Museum, a historic open air museum. Near the town there are also ruins of the medieval castle and the summer estate of the royal family with its magnificent garden, both willingly frequented by tourists.
