The ferris wheel
The Ferris wheel at the Foire du Trone, near Paris, France. The Ferris wheel is a structure consisting of an upright wheel with passenger gondolas attached to the rim. The original Ferris wheel was designed for the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago as a rival to the Eiffel Tower.
