Reine is a charming fishing village located on one of the islands in the Lofoten Archipelago in the Norwegian Sea. This mountainous village is one of the landmarks of the country and most photographed place in Norway. Reine is associated primarily with wooden buildings constructed on stilts, where fishermen used to lodge. Currently, the traditional rorbuer red houses with roofs overgrown with moss are a tourist attraction – visitors can even rent them. Green landscape of Reine is best admired from the vantage point on Mount Reinebringen situated nearby.
