Floral carpet in Brussels (Belgium) online puzzle
Brussels, the capital of the European Union, lies on the river Senne in central Belgium. The Grand Place is the heart of the city, it is a pentagonal market where, among others, a late Gothic city hall and historic guild houses are located. Every two years, in the middle of August, the Grand Place in Brussels is covered with a fabulously colorful carpet of begonias. A peculiar, fragrant carpet can be admired from the balcony of the city hall for a small fee. The first composition of this type in Brussels was created in 1791. It was designed by the landscape architect Etienne Stautemans.
