New Orleans is an American city located in the state of Louisiana. The French Quarter, its oldest district, once inhabited by the French settlers, is the landmark of the city. Eye-catching intricate carvings of metal balconies and colorful facades of historic buildings are a characteristic feature of this historic part of the city. Bourbon Street, full of pubs with live music and esoteric shops is its most famous street.
