Tenement house by the canal in Ghent (Belgium)
Ghent is the city in the north of Belgium, which despite its inland location, has an access to the North Sea. The city owes it to the Ghent-Terneuzen canal, which is 32-kilometer long and is 200 meters wide. It was built between the years 1823-1827. There are historic tenement houses situated by the canal, which housed craftsmen’s workshops and departments stores in the past.
