Golden and red are the two most frequently used colors in the production of Christmas decorations. Golden decorations make the interior look more elegant and festively as well as they nicely reflect the glow of Christmas lamps and candles. What is more, gold is associated with wealth and royal power and for that reason can be perceived as the symbol of Jesus’s reign over the world. In the Christian tradition it is believed that gold was one of the three gifts which the Magi gave newborn Jesus. The gifts were meant to emphasize the royal personality of the Infant.
