Gran Vía in Madrid (Spain)

Gran Vía is one of the most representative streets of the Spanish capital, where a visitor can find a large number of shops, hotels, fashionable restaurants and various cultural facilities. The city is overlooked by Edificio Metrópolis – over a hundred-year-old office block that was built in accordance with the design of Jules and Raymond Février. Visitors pay attention to its characteristic black cupola with golden embellishments. The cupola is crowned with the statue of Victoria – the Roman goddess. Gran Vía is always vibrant with life and is a popular meeting place for Madrid’s residents as well as tourists visiting Spain. It can be safely said that the street combines trade, entertainment and culture in ideal proportions.
