Pralines are a type of chocolates usually filled with cream or nut filling. Nevertheless, in various countries there are different ways in which they are made. American pralines contain more milk and cream than their European counterparts, thanks to which they are sweeter and softer. The French pralines contain almonds and caramelized sugar, which makes them very hard, whereas the most famous Belgian chocolates consist of a chocolate shell filled with soft, sometimes liquid filling. Regardless of the origin and characteristics, pralines are always a perfect gift. They are luxurious, yet unpretentious, so a box of pralines is an appropriate gift for many people, regardless of the occasion.
