Sighişoara lies in Transylvania on the Târnava Mare River. The city retains the unique medieval architecture with the complex of fortifications. Its old town is located on the hillside and since 1990 it has been a World Heritage Site. It is surrounded by the 14th-century defensive walls with numerous towers and gates. In addition, there are historic churches and cemeteries, Home of Dracula, and the 64-meter Turnul cu Ceas, i.e. Clock Tower, which now houses the museum.
