Hot dog is a simple dish consisting of a roll and hot sausage, which were popularized by the German immigrants in the United States. A heated sausage in a long roll was initially sold in standing booths at busy streets, uncomplicated form of hot dog facilitated both its fast preparation and eating it without a plate or cutlery. Currently, hot dogs are served with mayonnaise, ketchup or mustard and accompanied by various vegetable ingredients.
