Karlstein Castle (Czech)
Karlstein is a large Gothic castle in Czech Republic, founded in 1348 by Czech king and Holy Roman Emperor Charles IV. It was built as a place for safekeeping of the royal treasures, especially Charles's collection of holy relics and the coronation jewels of the Roman Empire. It is located about 20 km southwest of Prague.
