Khotyn Fortress (Ukraine)
Khotyn is a city in province Chernivtsi Oblast of western Ukraine. Khotyn Fortress was constructed in the 13-15th centuries. It is located on the shores of the Dniester River. Khotin was conquered and controlled by many different states, resulting in its official name being changed many times (Khotyn, Chocim, Chotyn, Hotin, Choczim).
