Latona Fountain (France)
The fountain of Latona is decorated by the sculpture depicting the goddess with the twins - Apollo and Artemis. The fountain is located in the Versailles Gardens by the Versailles Palace. Versailles in located in the suburbs of Paris. The gardens by the royal palace cover 250 acres. They were made for the king Luis XIV, but the peak of their condition was during the reign of Luis XVI. They are the example of the French garden, characterized by the total subjectivity of the nature to people and adjustment of the nature to architecture.
