Kołobrzeg is a port town on the Bay of Pomerania in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship. The lighthouse that was built in 1946 is one of the town’s tourist attractions. There has been the navigation point in the town since the 17th century and the current lighthouse replaced the tower that had been built during World War II. The tower is 26 meters high, whereas the range of light equals 16 nautical miles, i.e. almost 30 kilometers. The facility has been made available for tourists, there is also a viewing terrace from which the visitors may admire the panorama of the town.
