Lighthouse on Kauai Island (USA)
Kauai Island is the furthest northern point of the Hawaii Islands. The lighthouse built on the island in 1913, once the largest construction of this kind in the world, was used for directing ships sailing east and west. The lighthouse is located on a narrow peninsula within the limits of the hill that was created by a volcano. There is a wonderful view from the lighthouse on the Pacific Ocean. The lighthouse is one of the most popular tourist attractions in that part of the Hawaii Islands.
