Los Glaciares National Park, which was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, is located in Patagonia – the geographical region on the border of Argentina and Chile. There are glaciers and post-glacial lakes situated in the park. The two most important mountain peaks situated in the park are called Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre, both of them very challenging for the climbers. Perito Moreno Glacier is the biggest tourist attraction of the park. Tourists who enjoy spending time in an active way organize trekking walks near the glacier.
