Machu Picchu (Peru)
Machu Picchu is sometimes called the "Lost City of the Incas". It is Inca ruin located at 2,430m on a mountain ridge. Machu Picchu is located above the Urubamba Valley in Peru. The city was built about 1440, and was inhabited until the Spanish conquest of Peru in 1532.
