Cartographer is a person who prepares the maps and plans. Preparation of a two-dimensional model of reality, especially by hand, has always required extensive knowledge and extraordinary precision. For these reasons, old drawings of the Earth were real masterpieces. Currently, maps of the world imitating the ancient or medieval ones – in the form of a picture, poster or wallpapers – are quite a popular decoration of walls in offices, classrooms and private homes. Vintage style maps often adorn caskets, jewelry, clock faces and other items of daily use.
