Tokyo is the capital city of Japan located on the island of Honshu. Marunouchi is one of the office districts in downtown of Tokyo, located in the immediate vicinity of Tokyo Station and the Imperial Palace. The district is home to major banks and companies of the country. These include Konica Minolta, Mitsubishi and Hitachi. The panorama of Marunouchi is dominated by modern skyscrapers. These buildings made of glass and steel are over a hundred meters high and they contrast with the historic red-brick building of the station.
