The volcanic island of O'ahu lies in the Pacific Ocean. Honolulu, the largest city and capital of Hawaii is located at its southern tip, there is also the famous military base of Pearl Harbor – the place of the Japanese attack of December 7, 1941, starting the war in the Pacific. Currently, O'ahu is an important tourist center. The popular Waikīkī beach overlooks inactive Diamond Head volcano. There are plenty of places of high natural values on the island. Due to unique landscapes on O'ahu, the island has been a setting for a dozen or so films, TV series and music videos.
