Würzburg is a city located in Saxony on the River Main. Alte Mainbrücke, i.e. Old Bridge, is one of the landmarks of the city. It overlooks the Marienberg Fortress and the surrounding vineyards. On the other side of the bridge there is the Old Town with the beautiful Gothic church known as Marienkapelle. The stone bridge was erected at the turn of the 15th and 16th centuries. It is decorated with twelve Baroque statues depicting saints and rulers. Currently, the Alte Mainbrücke is a landmark and popular meeting place. Pedestrian and bicycle traffic are allowed there.
