Oriental Pearl TV Tower in Shanghai (China)
Oriental Pearl Tower is a 468-meter TV tower, which is the fifth-highest tower in the world. When its construction was completed in 1994 it was the highest building in China and occupied this position until 2007, when the Shanghai World Financial Center was built. The tower is located in Shanghai – the largest city in China and is known as the landmark of the district of Pudong. This modern business district is a special economic zone and is the financial center of the country. The tower of a futuristic shape and monumental height perfectly fits in the district.
